Focus and Scope
The College of General Dental Practitioners was formed in 1982 for the purpose of organizing continuing professional development for the Dental Surgeons in General and the Private sector Dentists in particular. The journal, General Dental Practitioner became the official journal of the College. It has been published uninterrupted annually for the last 37 years and is peer reviewed.
The main focus of the journal is with the objective of disseminating knowledge among Oral Health Professionals like dentists in the private sector, Government and the University. Articles are considered from disciplines such as clinical specialities, basic sciences, and laboratory and technical fields. Manuscripts are peer-reviewed by two independent reviewers. The journal gives an opportunity to encourage academic writing among clinicians and other Oral Health Care Professionals. We strive to maintain academic standards of the journal. The authors are provided with a feedback on improvement if necessary. This will provide the authors with the information necessary to progress in their academic writing. The College wishes to empower the Oral Health Care Professionals and students to academic writing. The post graduate dental students are encouraged to publish clinical cases of importance.
The Journal publishes one issue per year.
